Computing at Cooper Perry

At Cooper Perry, we believe computing is an essential element of our curriculum and a vital part of preparing our pupils for the modern world. Computing is both a standalone subject and one that is carefully woven throughout the wider curriculum, supporting learning in many other areas. We recognise the significant role technology plays in daily life and aim for our children to be enthusiastic, confident and curious users of technology, with a strong desire to explore and understand the digital world around them.

Our Computing curriculum provides rich learning opportunities and transferable skills that pupils can build upon throughout their education and beyond. Through the study of Computing, children develop fundamental knowledge and skills in areas such as programming, problem-solving, digital creativity and communication—ensuring they are well equipped for future learning and employment.

Online safety is a core priority at Cooper Perry. Dedicated online safety lessons take place every half term, supported by links to PSHE, helping pupils learn how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly. We ensure our children are well prepared to navigate the digital world with confidence and care.
