This week you challenge is to watch the extract from the film Carrie's War.  It is a film made about children being evacuated in World War II.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdMsoKrzvFY (It is a bit old, the choices of language may not be ones you hear today and you may be surprised by the 'poor' camera work compared to today's TV programmes and films, but you should still get a feel for the experience of an evacuee).

This may inspire you to do one of several tasks:  

- A poster about evacuees. 

- A diary about that day, as if you are one of the characters.

- Research evacuees in Britain.

- Compare German and British evacuees experiences. 

- Write a letter home about your experiences.
