What a fantastic last week we have had in Nursery!

The children all loved the slide on Wednesday and had a great time at our party too!

We would like to thank parents for such kind words and we appreciate the gifts and cards that we have received.  Most of all though we would like to say a huge thank you to the children for being 'superstars'!

We would like to wish you all a lovely summer break.

Thank you so much to all of you who came along to our Open Morning and Sports Day.  The weather was perfect, and you got to see what we get up to at Nursery!  All the children took part in our races and did brilliantly - lots of smiling faces.  It was great to spend some time together in the sunshine whilst we enjoyed our picnics, and Mrs Fox and Mrs Matthews were very proud of all the children - well done!

We are well into our 'Summer Time' topic now.  This week the children have enjoyed creating crab pictures by hand printing, it was messy but great fun!

We have discussed Barbecues and what we like to eat at them.  We found out that food needs heat to cook and talked about charcoal and gas.  The children had great fun playing with the toy barbecue too.

Sports day practice is well under way.  Your child will need their teddy on the day please, Friday 3rd July.  Thank you.

We had a treat this week when Phoebe's mummy brought 'Turbo' the tortoise into Nursery!  We heard about what he likes to eat, where he lives and sleeps and also how big he is going to grow.

We all got to hold him if we wanted to... it was great fun!

We made a yummy fruit salad this week.  We all used the peeler carefully and cut up all the fruit with a knife.

We talked about our favourite fruits and listened to fruit related stories.

A huge WELL DONE to all the children for their performance in the Maypole dancing!  They were all so brave and we are very very proud of them smiley

We have had a great first week of our Summer Term.  The children have started to think about our new topic 'Fruit' and we have listened to the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

The weather has been great so we have been accessing activities outdoors too.

Maypole practice is in full swing and we shall perform next Friday (Ist May).  There will be NO morning session that day, instead children will need to be in school at 1pm.  The performance will begin at 2pm.
