Welcome back after a super Easter break!
The children in Y1 have already been introduced to their new topic "Seighford and Stafford" and have thought about what they already know and what they would like to learn. We will also be extending our learning by arranging a trip to the Ancient High House and creating maps of our school and village.
I have attached a topic overview so that you can have an insight into the types of things the children will be focussing on over the next term.
In June, the children will also be assessed on their phonics. I'm happy to disuss this with parents and will run a workshop if parents would find this beneficial. Please let me know if it's something of interest to you.
Every child has the right to learn and use the language, customs and religion of their family whether or not these are shared by the majority of the people in the country where they live.
