Night from the swan whisperer
Good evening, we are currently competing in a quiz night - Disney was the easiest category for us all (including the teachers)! The dorms have finally started to look tidy as they have started to pack for the departure. Lots of the children have been on the quads this afternoon - they loved it! We had a couple of bumps into the tires which was extremely funny; we were even considering writing a newspaper article on this when we get back! We have never seen so many sweets eaten by a group of children but I suppose it's the time to do it when the parents are not around. Dry bags are packed for the whole class activity on the water tomorrow although we are not looking forward to the bus journey home: it is a little stinky!
Gemma would like to say a big happy birthday to her little brother Jack :)
Noah's mum I can assure you that he chose to jump off the raft and swim around in a game - don't worry :)
Good morning, we have had another good nights sleep. Slightly later but we still got to sleep in until 7am. One of the groups are out on the water raft building - fingers crossed the swan has gone! The other children have had abseiling and fencing. All the children are fine! No one is feeling poorly just a few lost voices from all the singing / screaming but I'm not complaining :) For lunch pasta and garlic bread is on the menu; syrup sponge pudding and custard is on for after tea tonight - which everyone is looking forward to. Hopefully, I will update you with some more pictures this afternoon. The Wi-Fi isn't the fastest for pictures as you can imagine.
We have had a super day! Some of the children have been raft building - we even had to run out of lake because of an angry swan. (It was very exciting as you can imagine). A group has been rifle shooting and climbing - they had to reach for the orange afro. Tonight, we have all been to a camp fire. Lots of singing, which was very loud! Everyone is having lots of fun and they are eating as many sweets as they can before coming home. All ready bed; I will update you in the morning.
Good morning, what a lovely sleep we have had! 10pm fast asleep; 7am fast asleep. A morning wake up was needed for some! The internet was down last night so I couldn't update you - sorry. We had a great day, lots of children tackled their fear of the high ropes. We ended the night in wacky races and they were definitely looking wacky. Some children had sliders for arm shields; crazy hairstyles and a swimming costume over clothes. It was great fun. Some children have lost their voices this morning due to all the screaming! Some were feeling a little grouchy yesterday due to the lack of sleep but they are all back to normal energetic children this morning after a good sleep :)
Now that the website is up and running again, I can update you on here :) I hope that you have received the parent mail in the meantime. We had a fab first day, full of sports! We even got to play space hopper football - which was so fun. Tea was lovely, fish fingers were on the menu, followed by doughnuts. Everyone was in bed for 10ish, at 11 everyone was asleep, but unfortunately that didn't stop the 5am wake up this morning!!!! We have had a cooked breakfast, with unlimited cereal, toast and porridge available. All the children are feeling fine and have enjoyed there first night (parents please don't worry - they're having a great time with all of their friends). Today, some are tackling the high ropes while others are quad biking. I will update you later with some pics.
