Last week of Spring Term
We have had a lovely last week of term celebrating Easter. The children have looked at the Easter Story and been busily involved in Easter themed crafts and activities throughout the week.
We finished off our week by having a visit by the 'Easter Bunny' who had left eggs for the children to find over in the quiet outdoors area! The children had great fun hunting for the eggs and they found 54 in total!
We would like to wish you all a very happy Easter and will see you back at school on Monday 11th April.

We have had a wonderful 'Arts Week' in Nursery. The children began the week dressing up as characters to represent the beginning of the 'Macbeth' play alongside the Reception class. Photographs taken were then shared in our Friday assembly when the whole school came together to tell the complete story of Macbeth.
We enjoyed watching the Talent show on Tuesday and the costumes worn on our Shakespearean Day were fantastic so well done to everyone.
The children have made witches spells using the cauldron with insects and lots of yucky things! They also really enjoyed creating 'potions', where they mixed coloured water together.
A great week
Wk ending 11/3
This week we have focused our activities around the story, 'Oliver's Fruit Salad'. The children have been drawing fruits, using fruit stencils, thinking about where fruits come from and where and how they grow. To conclude our topic the children created their own fruit salad which they thoroughly enjoyed doing. We were really impressed with the childrens control and precision with the utensils used to prepare their fruit, well done everyone
Next week is 'Arts Week'. The children can come to school on Tuesday in their smart clothes ready to be part of the audience for our talent show. Wednesday is also a non-uniform day as we are all coming dressed in Shakespearean costume. Please read the newsletter for further details. Thank you.
Wk ending 4/3/16
This week has been all about 'apples'! The children have leant all about how apples grow, looked at pips through magnifying glasses, printed with apples and created a class chart of how many red apples and green apples we had. Also, the children enjoyed estimating how many apples would fit in the different sized containers, here they used lots of mathematical language.
This week we held auditions for our Talent show. Many of the children were confident enough to sing songs and dance in front of the class so well done to all of them that took part. We have chosen 2 'acts' to go through to the final which will take part in our Arts week.
Wk ending 26/2/16
This first week of half term we have began our topic all about 'Fruit'. The children have enjoyed the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and they have counting our different amounts of fruit, collaging a caterpillar for display and cutting and sticking their own fruit bowls.
The children enjoyed a great P.E. session with Mr Johnson, they are all listening and following instructions so well. They also enjoyed a fun phonic session with dinosaurs this week too.
